NETHERLANDS

THE BUILDINGS WERE SLANTED!

Amsterdam was definitely interesting.. but still fun! No we did not visit the red light district lol We got just enough out of our quick day trip to Amsterdam! As much as we loved all of the architecture, history and canals I think the next time we visit we will look for more landscapes and cool sightseeing locations outside of the Amsterdam area. Overall, it was an amazing experience still and hopefully we can find an opening to book the Anne Frank House tour! We were only able to get pictures outside because that tour is booked for months out!

We did a boat tour of the canals and that was SO much fun! Seeing all of the different boats floating along the canals and learning about the house boats/air bnb's all along the canal was super interesting. We even wondered if one day we would invest into a house boat one day. Probably not, but it would be cool to be able to say "Yup, I've got a house boat on one of the canal's in Amsterdam. Wanna go for the weekend?" lol. The architecture in Amsterdam was one of the best things to learn about. The tall buildings were so beautiful and slanted sideways but that was what made it all so unique. We absolutely loved floating along the canals. Parking in Amsterdam was insane but we were expecting that already. Thankfully, we lucked out and rented a convertible Mini Cooper so we were able to fit perfectly wherever we parked.
